Joan Miro Exhibition

The notorious exclamation of Joan Miró, the poet of colours: I want to assassinate painting, culminated in the burning of painting canvases. His ambition is reflected by his significant graphic art work truly and evidently. The devotees of the Catalan maestro’s art can now visit an exhibition of 100 graphic works in REÖK Szeged. With his childishly playful, spectacularly unconventional artworks, Miró payed tribute to surrealism. The exhibition originates from a German private collection. The collection of the Bamberg-based Böttingerhaus diverts the attention of the visitor to the workmanship of the literary-lyrical Miró, giving a special nuance to the exhibition.

XXXVII. Summer Exhibition

The biennial Szeged Summer Exhibition is one of the most prominent musters of fine arts in the country and in Szeged. Its all-time goal is to display the contemporary Hungarian efforts. REÖK extends the invitation-based system which proved to be well-functioning when selecting the material for last year’s Easel Painting Biennial to this year’s Summer Exhibition. Graphics and painting, along with sculpture will be represented at the salon.
Lőrninc Popovics Jubilee Exhibition

Retrospective exhibition of the well-known sculptor from Szeged who turns 60 this year which provides an insight to the main pursuits of the multifaceted oeuvre. A selection of wooden, stone and glass sculptures are displayed at the exhibition.
